BCR Hires New Member Services Librarian

AURORA, CO, APRIL 23, 2001 — BCR has a new member services librarian. Linda M. Gonzalez joined BCR's Bibliographic Systems & Services (BS&S) program in February 2001. She will teach workshops in OCLC searching, cataloging, interlibrary loan and MARC format, as well as non-OCLC cataloging workshops.

Gonzalez comes to BCR from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania), where she served in a number of capacities, including assistant head in the cataloging department, database services consultant for the Electronic Information Network where she did technical services training, senior staff librarian and manager of the Mt. Washington Branch Library. Her technical service experience includes intensive use of the OCLC cataloging module, original cataloging and MARC bibliographic, holdings and authority formats.

Gonzalez has an MLS degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was honored as a Provost Scholar and Richard King Mellon Scholar.

BCR, a nonprofit library network, helps libraries acquire, implement and manage automated information services.
