Holmberg Joins BCR Staff

AURORA, CO, JUNE 5, 2002 - Lisa Holmberg has joined the staff at BCR. Holmberg is filling a new position in BCR's Research & Development (R&D) program. As support associate, she assists R&D Project Manager Ellen Fox in exploring new technologies and tools that may prove useful for BCR member libraries. Her responsibilities include helping bring in new vendors and authoring Web pages, particularly JavaScript-based Web forms. She also serves as a back-up trainer.

Before joining BCR, Holmberg was electronic resources coordinator at O.J. Cloughly Alumni Library, St. Louis College of Pharmacy in Missouri where she managed the library's Web site, trained and supervised student employees and helped patrons locate electronic and printed materials. Holmberg received her MLS from the University of Missouri at Columbia and her BA at the University of Nebraska.

BCR, a multistate library service nonprofit, helps member libraries acquire, implement and manage automated information services. BCR provides the latest in information and technology training including Web-based workshops; access, training and support for OCLC services; discounts on reference databases, electronic books, library-related software and hardware; consulting; online database publishing; and custom cataloging.

BCR's member states are Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. All libraries in these states are BCR members and can take advantage of the many benefits BCR has to offer.
