BCR Board Members and Officers ElectedAURORA, CO, JULY 17, 2003 -- The BCR (Bibliographical Center for Research) Board of Trustees reelected Leslie Boughton, state librarian for the Wyoming State Library, to serve a second consecutive year as president for the July 2003-June 2004 fiscal year. Karen Strege, state librarian at the Montana State Library, was elected vice president of the Board. The two officers are members of the BCR Executive Committee, along with Emily Navarre, Southeastern (Iowa) Library Services; Cynthia Berner Harris, director of libraries for the Wichita (Kansas) Public Library; Stephen Rollins, University of Alaska at Anchorage; and David Brunell, BCR executive director and Board treasurer. Berner Harris (incumbent) was reelected at-large trustee by the representatives of BCR's member libraries. Sandra Barstow, University of Wyoming Libraries, was also elected as an at-large trustee. Others elected to the 2003-04 Board of Trustees were: Melissa Nicoud, National Museum of Wildlife Art (Wyoming), special libraries trustee; David Ellefsen, Elko-Lander-Eureka County (Nevada) Library System, public libraries trustee; and Teresa Garrison, USD #500 and Kansas City Kansas Public Library, school libraries and processing centers trustee. Maggie Farrell, dean of libraries at the University of Wyoming, was reelected as BCR delegate to the OCLC Members Council. The first Board meeting of the new year is scheduled for September 26. BCR, a multistate library service nonprofit, helps member libraries acquire, implement and manage automated information services. BCR provides the latest in information and technology training including Web-based workshops; access, training and support for OCLC services; discounts on reference databases, electronic books, library-related software and hardware; consulting; online database publishing; and custom cataloging. BCR's member states are Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
