BCR Board Members and Officers ElectedAURORA, CO, July 31, 2004 — The BCR (Bibliographical Center for Research) Board of Trustees elected Stephen Rollins, University of Alaska at Anchorage, to serve as president for the July 2004-June 2005 fiscal year. Karen Strege, state librarian at the Montana State Library, was reelected vice president of the Board. The two officers are members of the BCR Executive Committee, along with Emily Navarre, Southeastern (Iowa) Library Services; Sandra Barstow, University of Wyoming Libraries; Teresa Garrison, Kansas City Kansas Public Library/USD #500; and David Brunell, BCR executive director and Board treasurer. In May, voting representatives of BCR's member libraries reelected Rollins as research libraries trustee and Navarre as at-large trustee. Others elected to the 2004-05 Board of Trustees were: Mary Ann Hansen, Montana State University, academic libraries trustee, and Suzann Holland, Oskaloosa (Iowa) Public Library, public libraries trustee. John Pollitz, O'Keefe Library, St. Ambrose University (Iowa), was elected as BCR delegate to the OCLC Members Council. The first Board meeting of the new year is scheduled for October 1. BCR, a multistate library service nonprofit, helps member libraries acquire, implement and manage automated information services. BCR provides the latest in information and technology training including Web-based workshops; access, training and support for OCLC services; discounts on reference databases, electronic books, library-related software and hardware; consulting; online database publishing; and custom cataloging. BCR's member states are Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
