This section includes links to sites that provide information on metadata and other cataloging and indexing information in relation to digital collections. Note that many different categories of metadata have been defined in a variety of disciplines. Links to standards as well as SGML and XML, Open Archives Initiative, vocabulary, and metadata generator sites are provided.
