Marshall Breeding, Director for Innovative Technologies & Research, Jean & Alexander Heard Library, Vanderbilt University
Marshall Breeding is Director for Innovative Technologies and Research for the Jean and Alexander Heard Library at Vanderbilt University, where he began his library career and held several positions over the past 23 years. As Director, he provides assistance in developing the strategic directions and new initiatives of the libraries related to technology. In addition, Mr. Breeding serves as Executive Director and Chief Technical Officer of the Vanderbilt Television News Archive. Marshall is the creator and editor of the Library Technology Guides website and has authored the last six annual "Automated System Marketplace" features for Library Journal. of Currently he authors a monthly column in "Computers in Libraries" and is a contributing editor for "Smart Libraries Newsletter" published by ALA TechSource, in addition to publishing several books and numerous articles during his career.

Ira Frosch, President, Palazzo Inc.
By founding Palazzo, Inc. in 1995, Ira combined his fascination in technology with his passion for the Italian culture. His IT career started at IBM in the PC and AS/400 divisions before joining JD Edwards, and later starting Palazzo, Inc. Ira has been part of the design and implementation teams of numerous IT projects for companies from 2-person startups to Fortune 500 companies. His vision is to solve technology problems while sharing in the satisfaction of delivering a superior service to clients so they can achieve their business goals. This man loves a challenge!

Matt Goldner, Executive Director, End User Services, OCLC
Matt joined Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) in October 2004 and is currently the Executive Director, End User Services with responsibility for WorldCat.org, WorldCat Local and Social Network Services. Prior to joining OCLC, Matt worked for Fretwell-Downing Informatics (FDI) for 4 years and Geac Computers for 7 years. In both companies he was involved with increasing levels of responsibility for product direction and creation. His final position at Geac was Global Product Manager for the Library Division and at FDI served as Executive Vice President for the US subsidiary.

Jamie LaRue, Director, Douglas County Libraries
Jamie LaRue has been director of the Douglas County Libraries since 1990. He is Past President of the Colorado Association of Libraries (1998-1999), Colorado Librarian of the Year (1998), and author of "The New Inquisition: Understanding and Managing Intellectual Freedom Challenges" (2007). LaRue believes that the 21st century librarian is prepared to take reference services to the next level -- or face utter irrelevancy.

Karen Schneider, Community Librarian, Equinox
Karen is the Community Librarian with Equinox Software, Inc, the Evergreen experts. Before joining Equinox, she was with the College Center for Library Automation, where she researched standards and emerging technologies. Her library career path includes managing the popular portal Librarians’ Internet Index, managing a computer network for a public library, directorships in rural and special libraries, children's librarianship, adult reference, academic library systems management, and running a one-person Internet training business. Before her library career, Karen was an aircraft maintenance officer in the U.S. Air Force. A native San Franciscan who has lived worldwide, Karen is a prolific writer who has published two books and over 100 magazine articles and blogs regularly at Free Range Librarian. She holds degrees from Barnard, University of Illinois (GSLIS 1992), and the University of San Francisco.
