Reciprocal ILL Agreements
BCR libraries are welcome to join other libraries in resource sharing by participating in reciprocal ILL agreements.
BCR Interlibrary Loan Code
BCR member libraries are invited to join the BCR reciprocal ILL agreement, which promotes economical resource sharing among libraries in the BCR region: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The code provides guidelines for borrowing and lending between code signers. There is no charge to sign the code.
Amigos/BCR Code
The Amigos/BCR code is a reciprocal ILL agreement which promotes economical resource sharing among libraries in both regions. The Amigos region includes Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and Arkansas. This code's guidelines are slightly different than those of the BCR Code. There is no charge to sign this code.
LVIS
LVIS (Libraries Very Interested In Sharing) represents the first no-charge nationwide OCLC Group Access Capability (GAC) agreement. LVIS was established in 1993 by the Illinois State Library and the Missouri Library Network Corporation (MLNC) to encourage no-charge resource sharing in the Midwest. By 2000, over 1,200 multitype libraries all over the country are taking advantage of the many benefits of this exceptional resource sharing program. There is no charge to join LVIS.
National Interlibrary Loan Code
The Reference and User Services Association of the American Library Association has created a code for interlibrary loan to help libraries create local policies and to guide sharing initiatives.
