Decorah Public Library received the National Organization on Disabilities Award at ALA for library programs and buildings that have improved its services to the disabled.

Karen Davis, community information librarian at the Lawrence (Kansas) Public Library, is the Kansas winner of the first annual MCI Cybrarian of the Year award.

The Rocky Mountain chapter of the Special Libraries Association has recognized a number of Colorado librarians: Wanda McDavid with its Meritorious Service Award, Kimberly O'Neill with its Horizon Award and Katherine Kent with the annual Rebecca Jackson Scholarship.

MCI has named John Averett, librarian at Springville Public Library, the Utah winner of the first annual MCI Cybrarian of the Year award.

Iowa City Public Library has received a $60,000 grant from the Roy Carver Charitable Trust of Muscatine to help fund the library's new automated system.

Boulder (Colorado) Public Library and the Cedar Rapids Public Library (Iowa) are two of 28 public and academic libraries chosen to host "The Jazz Age in Paris: 1914-1940" traveling exhibit.
