Designated voting representatives from BCR member libraries already have begun to
vote for the candidates of their choice in this spring's election. Four candidates are on
the slate for one position in the BCR OCLC Users Council delegate election. Eight
candidates are running for five seats in the BCR Board of Trustees election.
The slates were put together by BCR's 1999 Trustee Nominating Committee chaired
by Michael Wright, director of the Indianola (Iowa) Public Library and at-large
trustee on BCR's current Board.

Ballots for the BCR OCLC Users Council election were
mailed in mid-March and are due in BCR's Aurora office by April 23. A single
delegate seat will be filled by one of the four following candidates.

Ballots were sent out the first week of April for
the 1999 BCR Board of Trustees election and are due at BCR on May 3. Five seats
on the BCR Board of Trustees are up for election. The candidates are:
