Member News Richard Baumgarten, Johnson County (Kansas) Library, has been appointed to the ALA Decimal Classification Editorial Policy Committee. The Colorado Chapter of REFORMA (National Association to Promote Library Services to the Spanish-speaking), is now operating a REFORMA Colorado bilingual web site at URL carbon.cudenver.edu/public/library/reforma. Denver Public Library received a $500,000 grant from the Carnegie Corporation to finance a literacy program for at-risk children and add to its book, music and video collections. The Library Research Service, a partnership of Colorado State Library and University of Denver, premiered a new web site: www.LRS.org. The site provides research and statistics to help libraries make informed decisions.
