When you click OK, the window will disappear. Exit from Netscape and you will see
a shortcut on your desktop with the Navigator icon and the description you specified.
Double-click on the icon, and Navigator will load and start with the document
specified in the URL field instead of your normal homepage.
Creating Windows 95 Shortcut
Do you frequently need to access a particular site
on the World Wide Web? For those of you using Netscape Navigator, instead of
creating a bookmark for the web site, you can create a Windows 95 shortcut to it and
automatically place it on your desktop for easy access. To do this, right-click on a link
or blank spot of a document just as you would to create a bookmark. (This will also
work from the history window.) Instead of selecting Add Bookmark, select Create
Shortcut. The following window will appear. Edit either field as needed.
Internet Explorer Users
This can also be done in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer will not give you a window as pictured above, but it will report that the shortcut has been created. If you wish to modify the URL or title of the shortcut, just right-click on the shortcut and select Properties.
