Kansas' Leroy Gattin Replaces John
Mayeski on BCR Board of Trustees

Leroy M. Gattin, system director and city librarian, South Central Kansas Library System and Hutchinson (Kansas) Public Library, has replaced John Mayeski on the BCR Board of Trustees, representing processing centers and school libraries. Mayeski, manager of the Cherry Creek School District (Colorado) Professional Library, has taken a new post in a California library.

Gattin has been with the South Central Kansas Library System since 1982. He currently serves as chair of the Information Network of Kansas and as executive secretary of the Kansas Library Association.

In his Statement of Concern for BCR's spring Board of Trustees election Gattin wrote: "As director of a regional library system in Kansas, I have also had responsibility for the management of a processing center that serves 144 member libraries. BCR has been an integral part in the success of this center. The services provided have allowed us to contain costs and thus continue to provide service to libraries servicing small communities. BCR has an outstanding reputation for service, and I would be honored to serve on the BCR Board."
