Librarians Convene in Salina
for Kansas Library Tri-Conference

BCR will join with librarians from throughout Kansas next month at the Kansas Library Tri-Conference, sponsored jointly by the Kansas Library Association (KLA), Kansas Association of School Librarians (KASL) and Kansas Association for Educational Communications and Technology (KAECT). This year's annual conference is scheduled to convene at the Bicentennial Center in Salina April 7-9.

BCR Executive Director Dave Brunell, Rosario Garza, manager of BCR's Bibliographic Systems & Services, and Ellen Fox, project manager for BCR's Research and Development, will host the "BCR Network Update" Thursday, April 8, from 1:30-3:45 p.m. Please put that time slot on your schedule. You will hear the latest news about OCLC, FirstSearch, SilverPlatter and other reference services; learn what's new on the Internet and World Wide Web; and find out what new hardware and software is of interest to libraries. Also, on April 7, from 9-11 a.m., hear Fox speak on the "Z39.50, a Non-technical Overview."

Stop by and check out BCR's booth in the exhibit area, too. Pick up information on how BCR can help your library provide services at affordable prices and chat with BCR's representatives who will provide answers to all of your questions.
