More than 200 participants benefitted from BCR's 60-day free trial of the SIRS
databases. Schools, public libraries and colleges from across the Western United States
all gained access to the four SIRS database products: SIRS Researcher, SIRS
Government Reporter, SIRS Renaissance and SIRS Discoverer Deluxe. The
databases contain full-text documents and cover a wide spectrum of topics including
social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic and political issues. The
Knowledge Source interface is intuitive and features three search methods, allowing for
both power and precision searching.
BCR is providing discounted access to the databases, with up to 20 percent off the list
price. SIRS pricing is the same for all types of institutions. Subscriptions may start
any month of the year. Customers may subscribe to the online service may request
one backup CD-ROM at no additional charge for use at the same site.
