BCR Coordinates netLibrary Purchase
to Northwest Libraries

BCR is working with three academic library consortia in the Pacific Northwest to coordinate a special group purchase of netLibrary electronic books. Orbis, the Northwest Association of Private Colleges and Universities (NAPCU) and the Washington Cooperative Library Project (WCLP) have put together a list of a little more than 2,500 titles in subject areas of interest to their member libraries. The subject areas include the CHOICE Outstanding Academic Titles, Reference, Computer Science and Northwest regional titles. The consortia are limiting participation to academic libraries in the Pacific Northwest.

BCR welcomes this opportunity to serve our consortial membership and would be happy to work with other consortia in our region to coordinate similar purchases. Members benefit from the BCR discount on netLibrary titles. BCR members may also still buy into the main BCR netLibrary Group Purchase; we currently have just over 2,800 titles. (See www.bcr.org/~randd/nllist.html for an Excel spreadsheet of the titles.) Members may also use the BCR discount to purchase individual collections.
