OCLC will discontinue support and system access for the Interlibrary Loan Micro
Enhancer for Windows Version 1.0 at the end of March 2000. At that time, the system
will no longer allow Version 1.0 to connect to the online OCLC ILL service. The date
and details of the software's end will be provided in the near future.
ILL Micro Enhancer for Windows Version 2.0 is available for electronic download and
on the new Access Suite Version 3.0 CD-ROM. For more information on the new
version and links to the download site and to the Access Suite order form, see the OCLC
Web site at www.oclc.org/oclc/menu/me.htm.
Libraries that use Clio management software to handle their ILL requests are urged to
migrate as soon as possible to Version 2.0 of Clio, which is compatible with Version 2.0
of the ILL Micro Enhancer. The price of the new version of Clio depends on when you
bought your older version and whether you order the new version through BCR. If you
bought Clio since November 1998, Version 2.0 is free. Just follow the link from the Clio
Web site cliosoftware.com to the "Clio 2.0 Free Upgrade Order Form."
Upgrading Clio versions purchased before November 1998 to Version 2.0 costs 25
percent of the current price, depending on the total number of ILL transactions (both
borrowing and lending) the library completed last year. Orders made and billed through
BCR receive a 5 percent discount.
