Candidates for BCR Spring Election Named

The eight-member BCR Nominating Committee 2000 has adopted slates of candidates
for the BCR Board of Trustees and OCLC Users Council delegate elections this spring.
Two candidates are competing for the single position in the BCR OCLC Users Council
delegate election. Eleven candidates are running for four seats in the BCR Board of
Trustees election.
Information about the BCR OCLC Users Council delegate election can be found on
BCR's Web site at www.bcr.org/~jhillsha/uc/.
Libraries' designated voters may vote on
the Web beginning in mid-March. The deadline for voting is April 24. A single delegate
seat will be filled by one of the two following candidates:
Maggie Farrell, Montana State University
Sunee Grima, Weber County Library System (Utah)

Voting will begin on April 3. The deadline for Board of
Trustees voting is May 4.
Four seats on the Board of Trustees are up for election, one in each of the following
categories. Candidates are:
Research Libraries Trustee
Kenneth Luker (incumbent), University of Utah
Sandra Barstow, University of Wyoming
Rod Henshaw, Drake University (Iowa)
Public Libraries Trustee
Rosanne Goble (incumbent), Southwest Kansas Library System
Carol Nugent, Pikes Peak Library District (Colorado)
Jim Godsey, Council Bluffs Public Library (Iowa)
Academic Libraries Trustee
Richard Doyle (incumbent), Coe college (Iowa)
Lois Fitzpatrick, Carroll college Library (Montana)
At-large Trustees
William Knott (Incumbent), Jefferson County Public Library (Colorado)
M.J. Poehler, Mercy Hospital Medical Center (Iowa) Later declined
because of change to position outside the BCR region.>
