New Libraries
- Utah — Salt Lake City Public Library unveiled plans for a $78-million new main
branch that will double the size of the existing library. Delta City reopened an
expanded and remodeled library, a $550,000 project.
Three BCR member libraries are among 20 receiving $1,000 grants from the National
Endowment for the Humanities and ALA to host Let's Talk About It: The Net
Generation of Reading and Discussion Programs for Libraries series: Hearst (Montana)
Free Library, Parmly Billings (Montana) Library and the Lawrence (Kansas) Public Library.
Brigham City (Utah) Library is one of 14 libraries selected by ALA and the Louisiana
Endowment for the Humanities to participate in Prime Time Family Reading Time series.
