Roth Poetry Pricing Set
BCR's discounted pricing for Roth's Poem Finder and The World's Best Poetry is now available. To access pricing, go to www.bcr.org and click on Reference Databases. Choose Roth Poetry Trial and select the gray button titled More information about Roth. From this screen you can find information describing the databases, pricing, ordering and payment options as well as details about access methods, usage statistics and an order form. The yearly subscription period for all Roth products is April 1 through March 31.

Poem Finder is a reference-oriented index available to both public and academic libraries. Pricing for public libraries is based on whether the library purchases a single-user, eight-user or unlimited-user license. Public libraries may also add branch libraries to their license.

The World's Best Poetry is intended as both a poetry index for K-12 schools and as an instructional resource. Pricing is based on selecting either a single-user or unlimited users license.

In addition, Roth has bundled its Story Finder database with the World's Best Poetry for a nominal fee and with Poem finder for free.

Encyclopædia Britannica Intermediate Included in BCR Subscription
A brand new, additional encyclopedia has been added via a link on the Britannica Online home search page and is included at no extra charge to BCR subscribers.

Encyclopædia Britannica Intermediate (EBI), is geared for students at a lower reading level than the Encyclopædia Britannica and includes such features as easy-to-understand articles written for students in grades 5 and higher, a spell-checker to help students with difficult-to-spell words and thumbnail images within articles that link to more than 4,000 full-size images, illustrations, maps and flags. With over 38,000 articles written for upper elementary, middle and high school levels, this is an excellent online reference resource addition for any K-12 school, public library, community college, or even university, especially those offering degrees in education.

Britannica Intermediate is not available to users of the free brittanica.com version.

A free trial is available during April and May at www.bcr.org/~ids/Reference/Britannica/britFAQ1.html#Trial. The subscription period runs June 1, 2001 through May 31, 2002. The cost has been set at $0.345 per Full Time Equivalent (FTE) student.

For questions or to subscribe to any reference database, contact BCR's Jim Hensinger (jhensinger@bcr.org) or Karen Graham (kgraham@bcr.org).
