Ingenta May Soon Be Available
BCR is in discussion with Ingenta and may soon offer member libraries this resource. Ingenta provides a single point of access to three major databases: Ingenta, CatchWord and Uncover. Library patrons can access more than 25,000 journals, including 4,500 full- text electronic journals. They receive full-text access to journals to which the library subscribes, with articles delivered in PDF or HTML format delivered directly to their desktops.

In addition, Ingenta's Reveal Research Alert service provides powerful, easy-to-manage alerting tools. User-created profiles provide e-mail alerts so patrons can keep up to date on the latest research.

Negotiations Underway with ACS
BCR and the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society, are investigating offering access to approximately 25 ACS Web Editions. Features include:

Articles ASAP (As Soon As Publishable) Subscribers can instantly access fully accepted articles within 24 to 48 hours of the final author approval in both HTML and PDF full formats, weeks before they appear in print.

ASAP Alerts and TOC Alerts A free e-mail alert service. Receive alerts containing a direct URL link to the full-text article whenever new articles are posted to an ACS Web Edition and a TOC Alert when a full journal issue is available online.

CAS Linking Connect from ACS article references directly to the relevant Chemical Abstract Services (CAS) record.

BCR Reference Database Renewals Ongoing
Although the annual renewal period for a number of BCR reference databases has expired, users may still renew or subscribe on an individual basis and obtain group purchase pricing. All the databases listed on the "Reference Databases Renewal Dates" table can be renewed anytime during the year. In most cases, fees will be prorated to the end of the current subscription year.
