BCR, Amigos Reach
Reciprocal Training Agreement
BCR and Amigos Library Services, a sister library network, have reached a reciprocal
agreement, effective immediately, to provide training to each other's members at
discounted rates.
Under terms of the agreement, members of one network may attend training sessions
hosted by the other at the host network's member rates, registering with and paying the
host network directly. BCR will bill or accept prepayment from Amigos members;
Amigos will accept prepayment or major credit cards from BCR members.
The goal is to create a simple, straightforward structure for reciprocal training that
affords each network's members maximum savings. The agreement applies only to
scheduled face-to-face training sessions. BCR and Amigos will continue to discuss the
possibility of extending the agreement at some future date to their respective distance
learning programs.
In the near future, BCR will post registration procedures for Amigos members on its Web
site Workshop section (www.bcr.org) and in the upcoming Workshop Schedule catalog.
Amigos, which no longer publishes a paper catalog, will maintain similar information on
its Web site (www.amigos.org).
