Northwest Schedules First ILL
and Resource Sharing Conference
The first Northwest Interlibrary Loan and Resource Sharing Conference is scheduled for
September 19-20, at the Sylvania campus of Portland (Oregon) Community College.
The conference will bring together interlibrary loan and resource sharing specialists from
Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. With the help of
experts in the field, those attending will learn to streamline processes, utilize new tools,
solve problems, learn more about work flow, best practices, customer service, new
management tools and how to maximize access while minimizing costs. Designed for
staff from libraries of all types and sizes, this conference will serve as a forum for
discussing the core resource sharing issues of costs, technologies and users.
Early registration is $75 for both days or $50 for a single day and will be taken until
September 1. After that date, registration is $100 for the full conference or $50 for a
single day. Check-in will be on Thursday, September 19, from noon until 2 p.m., and on
Friday, September 20, from 8-9 a.m.
