Summit County (Utah) librarians moved into a new home, the 6,500-square-foot Sheldon D. Richins County Services Building at Kimball Junction. According to the Utah State Library newsletter, they have great new views. The library's adult lounge has ceiling to floor windows that overlook the Olympic Park ski jumps.

Benjamin Ocón, Salt Lake City Public Library, is vice president/president-elect of Reforma.

Debbie Iverson, library director at Sheridan College (Wyoming), is now president of the Mountain Plains Library Association.

Ketchikan Public Library (Alaska) recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Hawaii State Library and Waikiki-Kapahulu Library received a $1.5 million bequest, the largest ever received by libraries in the Hawaii State Public Library System.

The State Library of Iowa was awarded a $3.4 million technology grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Film maker Gene Wilder has given his collection of scripts, correspondence and photographs to the University of Iowa's Special Collections Department.
