New BCR Workshop Schedule Published

The latest edition of the BCR Workshop Schedule is in the mail. Library directors and staff should look for it to arrive within the next two weeks.

The Workshop Schedule lists the next six months of BCR training sessions to be presented in BCR member states from March 1 through August 31. The catalog contains abbreviated descriptions for each BCR class; you will find more detailed descriptions on BCR's Web site at www.bcr.org/workshop/index.html.

Please check out the new workshops offered. BCR is hosting a new series of classes — Preventing Search Rage — from Access Information, Inc. This series of eight legal research classes covers everything from corporate and health data to government resources and public records. New classes also include OCLC FirstSearch: Implementing ILL Direct Request and the Gates Summer Institutes for Montana and Idaho public library staff. All of BCR's Web design classes have been revised and renamed, updated to cover XHTML protocols and the latest in Web design issues. Cataloging: CD-ROMs, Multimedia and Software (formerly Cataloging: Computer Files) also has been revised.

Please share the Workshop Schedule booklet with your colleagues. If you don't receive an individual copy, check with your library director or look at the schedule on BCR's Web site.

BCR will publish the next schedule of classes in September, which will include workshops to be presented through February 2003.
