Low New SIRS Annual Pricing
Available for Small School Libraries
By Ellen Fox
SIRS Researcher and BCR are offering the SIRS databases to small school libraries at
outstanding new prices. Small libraries, defined as those with fewer than 300 students, can
subscribe to SIRS Researcher for only $300. Other SIRS databases are available at similarly
low prices: SIRS Discoverer on the Web is available to small school libraries for $250, and
SIRS Interactive Citizenship, SIRS Government Reporter, SIRS Renaissance and SIRS
NetSelect are available for $200 each per year.
Libraries with more than 300 students can also subscribe at the regular BCR discount
prices. SIRS Researcher is $1,155, and the other SIRS databases are also available for
discounted prices. The pricing varies depending on which package of databases the
library chooses. See

for more information.
Updated daily, the SIRS databases provide valuable information on social issues, science,
history, government, the arts and humanities. Full-text articles and Internet resources are
selected from thousands of domestic and international publications and respected
organizations. Results provide access to source information, summaries and descriptors
derived from Library of Congress subject headings. SIRS offers personalized search
history, tagging, e-mailing and save session functions. Help, research strategy
worksheets, citation guidelines and an interactive dictionary and thesaurus complete this
reference package.
