BCR Staff Preparing

BCR staff members are looking forward to attending the library conferences scheduled this fall throughout the BCR region. Conferences are scheduled in Hawaii, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Iowa and Colorado.

Wyoming       The Wyoming Library Association annual conference is September 19-20 in Casper. Ann Schwab, member services librarian, will attend from BCR. She will present two programs. The "BCR Network Update" is scheduled from 2-3:30 p.m., Thursday, September 19. Attendees will gain a more complete understanding of the services BCR provides, from training, to product discounts, to OCLC services. Schwab will instruct participants in how to strengthen the database and improve indexing so library staff and patrons can have better search results.

The session is an overview of what's new with e-books, including pricing models, delivery mechanisms and directions in content development.
