Clio Announces New Pricing StructureBy Ann SchwabClio Software has a new pricing structure with the release of Clio 3.5. As with Clio's previous pricing structure, the initial software purchase price depends on the total number of ILL transactions an institution conducts annually. There will now also be an annual service and support fee for all Clio users, which is also based on the institution's total number of ILL transactions each year. For new Clio customers, the initial purchase price includes the first year's service and support fee. The 5 percent BCR discount will continue to apply to member library's initial software purchase, as well as the annual service and support fee. If you purchased Clio within the last year, you are guaranteed technical support and software upgrades for a year from your purchase date. If you purchased Clio more than a year ago, you will be provided with technical support free of charge until July 2003. After that date, technical support and software upgrades will be provided only to institutions that purchase a service and support plan.
