Colorado 34th Annual ILL Conference Set

Mark your calendars for "Strategies for Turbulent Times: Adventures in Resource Sharing," the 34th Annual Interlibrary Loan Conference presented by the Colorado Interlibrary Loan Committee on April 24-25, at the Adams Mark Hotel in downtown Denver.

Shrinking budgets, licensing, copyright issues, lending and borrowing from e-resources, resource sharing... turbulent times? This year's speakers will present strategies on how to manage these challenging issues effectively. Clifford Lynch, from the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), will be the keynote speaker.

The registration fee is $95 per person, which includes lunch on Thursday as well as a continental breakfast on both Thursday and Friday. The conference rate at the Adam's Mark Hotel is $99 per night.

There will also be a free preconference with a Colorado focus on Wednesday, April 23, at the Denver Public Library. The morning session, "ILL in Colorado: Options, Solutions & Best Practices," will provide an update on a new resource sharing strategic plan being proposed in Colorado, options available for ILL and a discussion of best practices to help libraries collectively manage the ILL flow statewide. The afternoon will feature a user group meeting for staff at Colorado libraries who currently use SWIFT, the statewide electronic ILL system.

For more information, including registration forms, the preliminary agenda and speaker biographies, visit the conference Web site at www.aclin.org/coloillconf/.
