Richards Joins BCR

BCR has a new face in the Business Office. Darlene Richards came on board as an accountant in March.

Richards is responsible for general staff accounting procedures including assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entry, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation and special projects. She also will serve as backup to Business Office Manager Darrell Vigil when he is not available in the office. Richards is taking over the position vacated by Vigil earlier this year when he was promoted to the manager's position in the Business Office, replacing Arleta Blades, who retired the end of last year.

Richards comes to BCR from Great West Life Insurance and Annuity, where she was senior accountant. Prior to that she served 11 years in the U.S. Air Force. Her posts included chief of accounts payable and non-commissioned officer in charge of accounts receivable, cash disbursements and travel accounting. She has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix.
