OCLC FirstSearch Service Enhancements OCLC recently added the Media Review Digest database to its FirstSearch service. Media Review Digest provides extensive review coverage of educational media, along with strong supplemental coverage of entertainment resources from 1989 to the present. In addition to providing citations to reviews of media resources in several leading print publications, the Media Review Digest database also contains links to more than 300,000 full-text reviews and related resources accessible on the Internet. It includes more than 100,000 media resources with more than 375,000 reviews, evaluations, awards and prizes and covers most media forms including educational and feature films, videocassettes, videodiscs, educational and spoken- word records, tapes and compact discs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, slides, transparencies, etc. The database is available via per-search and by subscription. Contact BCR's Karen Graham (kgraham@bcr.org) for more information. The ATLA Religion database on OCLC FirstSearch has been expanded with the addition of more than 50,000 new indexing records from the Retrospective Indexing Project (RIP) 1843-1948, Andover Review (1884-1893) and the Methodist Reviews Index (MRI) 1818-1985. These additional records provide substantial retrospective coverage of 100-plus journal titles in the ATLA Religion database. Three new product codes — RIP, MRI and Andover — were added to the Product Code Limit on the advanced and expert screens in the ATLA Religion database on FirstSearch to help users identify these new groups of records. In addition, the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) has informed OCLC that ATLA updated its image server to include thousands of new ATLA Serials (ATLAS) images. The new IP address for the updated ATLAS image server is 66.77.30.29. Users of the ATLA database should add this new IP address information to any firewalls, routers or proxy server configurations that restrict access to specific IP addresses to make sure that systems continue to allow access to the ATLAS servers. The IP for currently used ATLAS IP addresses are 66.77.30.29 and 63.136.1.23. The ATLAS IP address (66.77.43.9) is no longer in use. For questions or concerns, contact Karen Graham (kgraham@bcr.org) at BCR. Users of WorldCat on FirstSearch can now see a "Hot Topics" link at the top of the WorldCat search screen that they can select to view a pull-down menu of search topics. This new tool provides library users with pre-formed searches on current and popular topics. Selecting any of the topics in the pull-down menu will generate a search on that topic. Complete terms and search structure are displayed with the search results.
