OCLC Policies Directory to Debut

In early 2003, OCLC will replace the Name-Address Directory (NAD) with a new Web- based system, the Policies Directory. The Policies Directory will be the authoritative and comprehensive OCLC database for all ILL policies and will be available to both OCLC members and nonmembers at no charge.

The Policies Directory will continue to support summary level policies information, as well as allow libraries to provide in-depth ILL policy and contact information. Libraries will be able to update their information via a Web interface. The Policies Directory will also serve as a replacement for the online version of OCLC Participating Institutions.
