Jackson County Central and Rogue Community College libraries share a new 80,000- square-foot building, the first in Oregon designed from the beginning as a joint-use public/academic library.

Dillon City (Montana) Library celebrated its 100th anniversary.

Lehi City (Utah) Public Library, which is celebrating its 150th birthday, reopened its doors after expanding into the vacant building next door.

The renovation of the Hunter Library in Salt Lake County doubled the library's space for collections.

Julie Wessling and Carmel Bush temporarily share the top responsibilities at University Libraries, Colorado State University, Wessling as interim dean of libraries and Carmel as assistant dean of operations. Steve Austin was named branch services manager at Boulder Public Library's Meadows and George Reynolds branches.

Douglas (Colorado) Public Library District received honorable mention for its entry in the Library Public Relations Council 2002 L. PeRCy awards.
