Serials Solutions Freezes Prices for 2004By Rosario GarzaSerials Solutions has notified BCR that it is freezing its 2003 tier prices for the 2004 calendar year. In addition to the price freeze, Serials Solutions is also now offering community and junior colleges (e.g., two- year colleges) additional discounts. Through January 1, 2005, the Serials Solutions pricing will not increase for it's a-to-Z title list, full MARC records or Article Linker services. Serials Solutions determines a library's price by the number of full-text journal holdings in a library's collection and the service(s) selected. Your library's pricing may change based on these two factors, but Serials Solutions has committed to freezing prices through January 1, 2005. In addition to the price schedule freeze, Serials Solutions is making two other improvements to its pricing. It is now offering community and junior colleges a 25 percent discount, in addition to the 20 percent BCR member discount, towards the subscription or renewal of any of its services. For two-year colleges, this means a discount of 45 percent. Serials Solutions also is eliminating the $150 fee for all libraries taking advantage of Serials Solutions' hosted A-to-Z title list reports. If you are a community/junior college that has already renewed your Serials Solutions subscription, your library will receive a credit on renewal.
