Free OCLC ILLiad Overview
to Be Presented at BCR
By Ann Schwab
Join Tony Melvyn of OCLC for a free look at OCLC ILLiad interlibrary loan software on
Monday June 14, 9-11 a.m., at BCR's offices in Aurora (Colorado).
OCLC ILLiad is an ILL management system that automates routine borrowing and
lending activities. ILLiad integrates borrowing, lending and electronic document
delivery in one interface. Come learn how to:
- Save time and money by automating labor-intensive procedures.
- Eliminate labor-intensive paper files, including hand-written paper ILL requests.
- Scan, send, receive and process documents using the Odyssey electronic
document delivery module, all from within the OCLC ILLiad staff interface.
- Track copyright using ILLiad's copyright tracking system.
- Provide a Web-based customer interface that allows users to submit interlibrary
loan requests and track the status of their requests at any time of the day or night.
- Get extensive Web-based statistical reports.
- Utilize the latest OpenURL technology that allows your patrons to link directly
from citations in WorldCat and other OCLC FirstSearch databases to OCLC
ILLiad.
- Connect to OCLC ILL using direct machine-to-machine links for seamless
creation and batch updating of ILL requests.
