Britannica Renewal Cycle,
Free Trial Set for April Start
By Laura Chittivej
In April, BCR member libraries will have an opportunity to test drive all Britannica
Online databases. The two-month free trial runs from April through May.
Libraries may then opt to join the BCR Britannica group subscription. Current BCR
Britannica group subscribing libraries should plan to renew their subscriptions before the
May 31 deadline. Timely renewal of orders will ensure uninterrupted access for users.
More information on pricing and how to obtain the free two-month trial will be available
in the next issue of Action for Libraries.
BCR's subscription year for Britannica products is June 1 through May 31. New and
current subscribers may choose from the following databases: Britannica Online,
Britannica Online School Edition, Annals of American History Online, World Data
Analyst Online, Webster's Third New International Dictionary Unabridged Online and
Enciclopedia Universal en Español. More information about each product is
available at:
corporate.britannica.com/library/online.html.
If your library is already a Britannica Online subscriber, either directly or through a
group, you may move your contract to the BCR group subscription. Your library will
receive a prorated credit on the unused portion of your existing agreement towards your
participation in the BCR contract. For more information please contact BCR's Laura
Chittivej (lchittiv@bcr.org).
