Capitalize on BCR Computype Label Savings

By Laura Chittivej

In BCR's continuing collaboration with Computype, we now offer blank label kits for the Computype spine label printing system. These labels are made of polypropylene, the label material preferred by most libraries.

The minimum order is 5,000 labels, the equivalent of one kit. BCR offers libraries a choice of kits in either an economy system or standard system.

Patron Cards
BCR also has reduced the minimum order required from 2,500 cards to 1,000 cards in its ongoing Computype patron card promotion. This promotion offers libraries specially reduced pricing on new patron card orders placed through April 2004. Prices for the patron cards are reduced by 5 percent. Compu- type also is waiving its standard $150 set-up fee. The cards are 24 mils thick and include a bar code, signature panel, logo and artwork.

DVD/CD-ROM Labels
Additional savings are available for DVD/CD-ROM label users. The popularity of this product has allowed BCR and Computype to further reduce the label price. Libraries may choose from four styles of the DVD/CD-ROM label. The most popular label (part#1004955) is comprised of the round label for the media and a standard bar code label for the jacket. The DVD/CD-ROM label is made of a thin polypropylene material using a high-heat adhesive. The media label is manufactured to be perfectly round so it will not throw the disc out of balance and has been tested for use in all types of DVD and CD players. The minimum order is 2,000 DVD/CD-ROM labels. Neighboring libraries, library systems and school systems may batch their orders to achieve the minimum order size.
