Candidates Named for BCR Elections

The BCR Nominating Committee 2004 has developed slates of candidates for both the BCR Board of Trustees and OCLC Members Council delegate elections this spring. The BCR Board of Trustees adopted both slates at its February meeting. Three candidates are competing for the single position open in the BCR OCLC Members Council delegate election. Eight candidates are running for four seats in the BCR Board of Trustees election.

Information about the BCR OCLC Members Council delegate election can be found on BCR's Web site at www.bcr.org/about/mc/mcelect.html. Libraries' designated voters can begin to cast their ballots via the Web on March 12. The deadline for voting is April 23.

The single delegate seat will be filled by one of the following candidates:

Information about the BCR Board of Trustees election is found on the Web site at www.bcr.org/about/ board/botelect.html. Voting begins April 2, and the deadline for Board of Trustees ballots is May 3. Seats on the Board of Trustees are up for election in each of the following categories:

Public Libraries Trustee
      David Ellefsen, Elko-Lander-Eureka County (Nevada) Library System (incumbent)
      Susan Holland, Oskaloosa (Iowa) Public Library

Academic Libraries Trustee
      Mary Anne Hansen, Montana State University-Bozeman
      Marita Kunkel, Library, Oregon Institute of Technology

Research Libraries Trustee
      Stephen Rollins, University of Alaska, Anchorage (incumbent)
      John Webb, Washington State University-Pullman

At-large Trustees
      Emily Navarre, Southeastern (Iowa) Library Services (incumbent)
      Duncan McCoy, Boulder City (Nevada) Public Library
