Oxford University Press (OUP) is offering a free trial to its newest online resource, the Oxford Scholarship Online database. Facts on File Offers Special Discounts
School libraries now can purchase both the Issues & Controversies and Today's Science databases from the Facts on Files News Service for only $600. Academic and public libraries with FTE of less than 1,000 also can purchase both databases for $600. New subscribers who purchase between now and April 1 will receive free access until April 1. The Facts on File News Service subscription period runs from April 1 through March 30.

OCLC FirstSearch Enhancements
The OCLC FirstSearch PsycARTICLES database has added the 1987 backfile (where available) and eight additional journal titles, bringing the total number of full-text titles to 49 journals.

The Ninth Edition of the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms has been loaded in PsycINFO and PsycFIRST.

OCLC PAIS has announced that a new retrospective database, the PAIS Archive, will be available in mid-2004. Chronicling global public policy and social issues from the early 20th century through the 1970s, the PAIS Archive will contain the full content of the PAIS Bulletin, 1915-1976. The PAIS Archive is a companion reference service for the contemporary PAIS International in Print and PAIS International, the global public affairs database.

Ovid/SilverPlatter News Each month, Ovid provides subscribers with the opportunity to test drive a sampling of its content, tools and services - free of charge - through its Resource of the Month program. A different combination of resources is offered around the first business day of each month. ERIC Changes Scheduled for 2004 ERIC, the U.S. government's education database, will undergo changes in 2004. These include the appointment of a producer under a new government contract, using different sources of records and having groups of users and content experts advise the contractor on choosing content. Scope of Analytical Abstracts Expanded More papers in the growing areas of proteome and genome research are now available in the Ovid/SilverPlatter Analytical Abstracts database. Records concerning the determination or analysis of genes, specific DNA sequences, recombinant DNA technology and the isolation and sequencing of polypeptides and proteins are now included in the database.
