BCR Expands CQ Database Offerings

BCR has just added the CQ government and judicial staff directories to our other Congressional Quarterly database offerings.

Congressional Staff Directory
This directory is updated three times annually in print form and comes with a free online version that is updated daily with news on staff changes and developments. You also can add on the download function. Information in the directory is easy to find with five indexes. Included is in-depth biographical information on more than 3,400 officials, as well as member and staff names, addresses, phone, fax and e-mail information, member assignments, committee responsibility and jurisdiction and state and district representation (complete with maps and voting results). The online version allows you to search the entire database by title, name, agency, authority or keyword with links to e-mail addresses and Web sites. The entire content of The Bernan's Almanac of the Unelected is also included, providing access to contact information to more than 500 senior congressional staff members.

Federal Staff Directory
The Federal Staff Directory lists more than 45,000 leaders and their staff, including those of 80-plus independent agencies and 45 quasi-official organizations. This directory has four indexes and is updated three times a year. It contains leader and staff names with titles and photographs; appointment detail; address, phone, fax and e-mail information; office authority and responsibility; organizational charts; and regional offices. The online version allows searching by title, name, agency, authority or keyword.

Judicial Staff Directory
This directory, updated twice yearly, lists all national courts, U.S. Court of Appeals, district, bankruptcy and state appellate courts, along with circuit and judicial district data on more than 14,000 counties and cities. Its content includes judges, clerks, administrators, U.S. marshals and attorneys with names, titles, photographs, addresses, phone, fax numbers and e-mail addresses, office responsibility and appointment detail, as well as special information numbers (ABBS, PACER, etc.) and fees. The online version allows searching by various indexes.

Homeland Security Staff Directory
The latest from CQ Press, this Web-only service provides real-time access to every contact in every office, agency, congressional committee and relevant court. Homeland Security staff and related agencies/offices are constantly in flux. CQ Press' editorial staff updates these changes daily. Search and query by agency, contact name or keyword with links to e-mail addresses and Web sites.
