Nature ELS Renewal Cycle BeginsBy Karen GrahamIt is time to renew or order your subscription to Nature Encyclopedia of Life Sciences. Relaunched in May 2003 as the Nature Encyclopedia of Life Sciences (Nature ELS), this resource spans the entire range of life sciences research and is available as an online database with new and revised content every month. Comprising 12 million words, Nature ELS encompasses 3,000 original peer-reviewed articles written by an international roster of 5,000 experts in their fields. From molecular and cellular to organismal level, Nature ELS clarifies contemporary biology highlighting structures, processes, methods, systems and applications across the biological biomedical sciences. Six thousand color illustrations bring the text to life, while 30,000 internal cross references and 30,000 external bibliographic references for further reading direct students and professionals to the next level of research. The BCR discounted group subscription to Nature Encyclopedia of Life Sciences runs July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005. The renewal/order deadline is June 15. To ensure that your library patrons receive continuous access to this database, please make sure your renewal is submitted to BCR by June 15.
