Jill Koelling was named executive director of the Collaborative Digitization Program (CDP). BCR partners with the CDP to provide digitization training for BCR member libraries.

Amy Owen, retired director of the Utah State Library Division and past president of the BCR Board of Trustees, was appointed by President Bush to the 20-member National Museum and Library Services Board, which advises the Institute of Museum and Library Services, including making recommendations for the institute's National Award.

Valerie Horton has been appointed director of the new Colorado Library Consortium (CLiC).

The University of Alaska Anchorage in October celebrated the grand reopening of the Consortium Library. The original facility was remodeled and a new 109,000-square-foot, three-story addition was built.

Lori A. Goetsch has been named the new dean of libraries at Kansas State University, replacing Brice Hobrock, formerly BCR Board of Trustees president, who retired last academic year.
