Bailey-Hainer Named
New Board Vice President
The BCR Board of Trustees has appointed Brenda Bailey-Hainer, director of Networking and Resource
Sharing at the Colorado State Library, as the new vice president of the Board. She replaces Karen Strege,
who resigned from her Montana state librarian position in mid-October. As vice president of the Board,
Bailey-Hainer will fill in for Board President Stephen Rollins (dean of the University of Alaska
Anchorage, Consortium Library) in the event of his absence from Board of Trustee meetings or other
functions. In her new office, Bailey-Hainer also will serve on the BCR Executive Committee.
Bailey-Hainer serves also on the BCR Board of Trustees since 2000 as an alternate to Colorado State
Librarian Nancy Bolt. At the Colorado State Library, she oversees the Colorado Virtual Library and the
AskColorado - Statewide Virtual Reference Service, among other projects.
