CISTI Source Available at Discount
from BCR; Sign Up for Free Trial

The Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI) new service, CISTI Source, is available to BCR member libraries at a discount if at least three libraries sign up for the service. CISTI Source is a customizable Web-based platform that allows integrated article search and document ordering. Article-level linking to local periodical holdings and e-journal subscriptions allow CISTI Source to be integrated into a library's ILL process.

CISTI Source provides access to more than 15 million articles from 17,000 journals. If your library subscribes to any of these journals, your users will be able to link to the full-text, online version of an article if it is available. Users may also order articles through the CISTI Document Delivery service. Although CISTI offers information in all subject areas, approximately 65 percent of the content comes from scientific, technical and medical journals. CISTI Source subscribers also get a 10 percent discount on CISTI's Direct Supply service. BCR members can get a 30-day free trial by contacting BCR's Heather Clark (hclark@bcr.org).

Pricing for CISTI Source basic service is $750 per year. Subscribing libraries receive five admin accounts and passwords. IP recognition and/or proxy server access is not available. Discounts will be available if at least three BCR members subscribe to the service.
