Hainer Heads Colorado State Library,
Galbraith Named Kansas Deputy Librarian
Eugene Hainer has been appointed the new director and deputy state librarian of the Colorado State Library
(CSL). He replaces Nancy Bolt, who retired from CSL after 18 years of service. Hainer has served as
director of Library Development for CSL for the last five years. His new post is a cabinet-level position
within the Colorado Department of Education.
Marc Galbraith, who served as interim state librarian in Kansas until Christie Brandau's appointment as
state librarian this past winter, has been named deputy state librarian of Kansas. He has been with the
Kansas State Library for 29 years.
