Join Literature Online Group Subscription
BCR's group subscription for Literature Online (LiON) is underway. The group subscription period for the
Literature Online reference service is April 1 through March 31. Libraries that purchase after the start of
the subscription period will receive a prorated price. For information on pricing, ordering or descriptions of

HeritageQuest Online Collection Expanded
HeritageQuest Online, ProQuest's premiere genealogy database, recently launched the Revolutionary War
Era and Bounty-Land Warrant Applications collection. Fully indexed, this collection contains actual
images of the pension applications for 80,000-plus individuals who served in the American Revolutionary
War. Each veteran's file usually contains six or more pages and normally includes the veteran's former
rank, unit and period of service, age or date of birth, residence and genealogical information on other family
members, if available.
BCR's annual subscription runs April 1 through March 31. The renewal/order deadline is March 15. The

H.W. Wilson has added several new enhancements (Release 2.4) to the WilsonWeb interface. The
enhancements include a new database selection area, newly simplified Basic Search screen, a new
"Expander" found on search screens that will allow you to decide to include the full text of articles in
searches, new Persistent URL saving functionality, expanded interface customization possibilities and much
more.

OUP Product Receives Dartmouth Award
The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography has received two
prestigious honors. The 60-volume print edition was awarded the Dartmouth Award for Best Reference of
2004 at the ALA-midwinter meeting in Boston, and the online version was named the "Top of the List" —
Best Online Reference of 2004, by Booklist.
OCLC Discontinues PAIS Databases on FirstSearch
Since the acquisition of the PAIS Archive and PAIS International databases by CSA, OCLC will no longer
make these databases available on a per-search basis. This change will go into effect July 1. Users still will
be able to get PAIS as a subscription database through OCLC FirstSearch.
