BCR NetLibrary Community College E-book
Collection Closing; New Collection Coming
By Laura Chittivej
BCR's NetLibrary Community College E-book Collection will be closing to new participants as of March
31. As BCR closes this collection, work begins on a new set of NetLibrary titles. More details concerning
the new collection will be available in the coming months.
The BCR Community College Collection provides libraries with a cost-effective alternative for accessing
NetLibrary e-books. The one-time cost includes purchase of all titles, all NetLibrary access service fees
and MARC records. No annual fee is associated with this collection.
The BCR Community College Collection is a shared collection of NetLibrary electronic books geared for
community college libraries, but is open to all member libraries. It is comprised of 1,234 titles,
representing a wide range of scholarly publishing. For a complete list of included titles, go to
www.bcr.org/reference/Netlibrary/NL-Menu.html.
Library staff not familiar with the NetLibrary user interface may go to
legacy.netlibrary.com/about_us/company_info/index.asp
and choose the Reading Room tab. You may read, browse and print materials
using this NetLibrary interface.
All academic, public, special and K-12 libraries are welcome to participate in this collection before its
March 31, closing. State libraries and consortia require individual quotations. For more information or to
fill out the participation form, go to www.bcr.org, click on Reference Databases, then NetLibrary.
