to Be Published Online Only

Action for Libraries (AFL) subscribers have only two more months remaining to receive BCR's newsletter in the mail. This is a reminder that following the December issue, Action for Libraries will be published online only on BCR's Web site (www.bcr.org/), in both HTML and PDF formats.

This is a budget-saving move, but BCR staff is taking this opportunity to revise the content of the newsletter as well, enhancing our communications with you, our members. We also want to ensure that you are made aware of all the ways you can benefit from your BCR membership. And because we will no longer be limited to an eight-page publication, staff hopes to expand our recognition of BCR member institutions. The "Member News" column will be enhanced with more information about members and their libraries. We invite you to send news of your library and staff members to be included in the column. Send items to BCR's Sharon Hoffhines (shoffhin@bcr.org).

We also invite you to let us know what you would like to see in the revised newsletter. Again forward your comments and suggestions to BCR's Sharon Hoffhines.

The revised Action for Libraries will be an e-mail subscription publication. We will add the e-mail addresses of current subscribers that we have to the new newsletter electronic mail list, BCR-AFL, but to ensure you receive the online January issue, we encourage you to subscribe yourself to the BCR-AFL e-list by sending an e-mail message to majordomo@bcr.org.
