McGraw-Hill's Digital Engineering
Library Available Through BCR
By Rosario Garza
BCR and McGraw-Hill have partnered to make the McGraw-Hill Digital Engineering Library (DEL)
available to BCR members at a discount. McGraw-Hill is a longtime publisher of well-known titles in
various engineering fields. These titles are now available online.
DEL currently contains more than 165 titles grouped into 12 engineering categories. The categories are
aerospace engineering, bio engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, communications
engineering, construction and architectural engineering, electrical engineering, engineering math and
science, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, materials science and engineering and
mechanical engineering. Each category is further broken down into subcategories.
A complete list of titles currently included is available at the DEL Web site. Titles include classics such as
Marks' Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers (10th Edition), Perry's Chemical Engineers
Handbook (7th Edition), Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers (14th Edition), Roark's Formulas for
Stress and Strain (7th Edition) and many more. As titles are added they will automatically become
available to current subscribers.
The Librarian Center provides library staff with statistical information on daily, weekly and monthly use by
topic. The statistical information can be exported for use in spreadsheet software. In addition to statistics,
the Librarian Center contains the library's account profile, as well as a list of DEL titles in a file that can be
exported for use into Microsoft Excel software.
Subscriptions are available at two levels: up to five simultaneous users and unlimited users. BCR members
subscribing through BCR receive a 20 percent discount off the regular subscription price. A 30-day free
trial is available. To sign up for the free trial, visit
www.bcr.org/reference/Mcgraw/mcgrawfaq.html. To
