Action for Libraries Newsletter
to Be Published Online Only

BCR's Action for Libraries newsletter is evolving. In January the print edition of the free monthly newsletter will cease to exist. The newsletter will continue, but will be published online only in HTML and PDF formats on BCR's Web site, www.bcr.org/.

Halting the print edition of the newsletter will save printing and mailing costs. But we also discovered the move to an online-only publication will give BCR greater flexibility in distributing news and information and help us better communicate with you, our members. Next month's November issue will explore these possibilities and the future of the newsletter in more detail.

Action for Libraries will continue to be a subscription publication, but with e-mail addresses for subscribers rather than street or Post Office box mailing addresses. Although we have many subscribers' e-mail addresses in the BCR member database, we don't have e-mail addresses for all. We will add the e-mail addresses we have to the new Action for Libraries electronic mail list, BCR-AFL.

However, to ensure you receive notice of the online January issue, we encourage you to subscribe yourself to the newsletter e-list by sending an e-mail message to majordomo@bcr.org. Leave the subject line blank and type subscribe bcr-afl in the body of the message. Do not include your name.
