BCR Offers New Wilson, ProQuest Free Trials

BCR is collaborating with both H.W. Wilson and ProQuest to make free trials available for a number of their databases.

BCR's H.W. Wilson free trial is available to all BCR libraries. To participate, enroll at BCR Online, www.bcr.org. From BCR's home page, select Reference Databases, then H.W. Wilson. Try it now by registering for the free trial at www.bcr.org/reference/Wilson/Wilsontrialform.html.

The October 15 to November 30 trial/group purchase offers significant discounts on 13-month subscriptions, which start December 1, 2005, (first year only) and run through December 31, 2006. Pricing for these databases is very low compared to retail prices. Pricing information and a Web order form are available on BCR's Web site. Orders may be placed at any time during the trial. If you order before November 15, you will ensure continuity of access for your library.

ProQuest
BCR is offering trials for academic libraries, community colleges, public libraries and hospital libraries for new ProQuest databases. Descriptions of each database can be reached via the links on the trial sign-up form: www.bcr.org/trials/pqtrial.html. Sign up now to try out nine different ProQuest databases.

The free trial will last from now through the end of October. In October, BCR will have the pricing details available for subscriptions to these databases.
